about me

I'm 28 and live in central Illinois. I've been married to an amazing man for three years. We have a little white dog and just bought our first house! We are also expecting our first child in October. I LOVE design and photography. I'm busy getting my own business up and going. We also do what we can to be a little more eco-friendly.

things i'm not missing about the apartment

Tuesday, April 29, 2008

- The smoke filled hallways
- Potholes in our driveway
- Alarm clocks going off for hours on end
- Bebo barking at doors being slammed
- Trucks with loud music pulling in at 1:30am
- Gross, nasty carpeting
- Not being able to keep anything dusted
- Having to use the spare room as storage
- Taking Bebo down a flight of stairs every time he has to go out
- Being concerned about having our TV/music up too loud
- Having to jiggle the handle when we flush the toilet

Last night was the first time I made Josh and I supper in the new house. I can't explain how amazing it was to have so much room and counter space. And don't even get me started on the dishwasher...I do believe that deserves a post of its very own.

We are feeling so lucky right now to have been able to get this house. I kind of feel like I'm living in a dream...one of those really good ones you don't want to wake up from.

This is just so awesome!

We've been lucky enough to rent houses for the last couple of years...but I am just so jealous of OWNING a house...I cannot wait for that to happen to us. Living in a house and having your own home are just so very different.

Enjoy! Enjoy! Enjoy!
The best part is that when you wake up, it's not a dream.

Homeownership is cool. But actually having a house, not owning a condo (a fancy word for apartment in my book), it even cooler.
I know that kind of dream... Last night I dreamt that I was Jim in The Office. Normally working as a paper salesman is not my idea of the perfect life, but don't forget I get to be in a relationship with Jenna Fisher (Pam). I didn't want to wake up.

Besides, I had yet to see Dwight.

Oh, ps. I think you should hang those NASCAR checkerd flag pennant things around your kitchen.

And maybe you can use those jars (the ones I bought from your and then left at your apartment) for cookies.

Eeep! You're in your house! Maybe you should lick the dishwasher after you lick the fridge! We love lickable appliances! Yay!
