I'm 28 and live in central Illinois. I've been married to an amazing man for three years. We have a little white dog and just bought our first house! We are also expecting our first child in October. I LOVE design and photography. I'm busy getting my own business up and going. We also do what we can to be a little more eco-friendly.

garage sale

Josh and I had our garage sale over at my parents' on Saturday. Between my parents and us we had a lot of big stuff like bikes, a dresser, two chairs, desks... Lucky for us most of that big stuff sold! I didn't feel like there were a lot of people coming through but I was really happy with how we did. I thought at worst we'd get around $50 and at best $100. Josh and I came in at $94. We were thrilled. After the sale was over we boxed everything up and took it to our local thrift store. It felt good to get rid of all of that stuff.

Oh, good, I'm glad you guys did well!! We are also planning a garage sale in the next few weeks. I cannot WAIT to get rid of this STUFF. Something about spring/summer just makes me went to de-junkify the place. Plus, once we get rid of this hand-me-down bedroom suit (and dining room table, and wing back chairs) (all of which used to be my great-grandmas) we can actually go to Ikea, etc., and get something more our style (FINALLY!).
