a new computer

Tuesday, February 06, 2007

Back in November Josh and I got the Abode Suite but unfortunately couldn't load it on my four-year-old computer. I have pushed my little computer about as hard as anyone could. It's been acting up a little but who wouldn't when you're doing more work that you can handle.

Last Friday while we were out for Josh's birthday, we went into Best Buy. Now usually I don't like going into Best Buy because it means me following Josh around for 45 minutes looking at all of the things we can't afford...but it was his birthday so he chose. Josh had it in his head that we should spend our yet-to-arrive tax returns on a new computer. I wasn't so sure.

We came home with this...

huge ass monitor

The tower wasn't in stock so that should come on Thursday by UPS. I freaked out a bit afterwards about spending so much money (especially money we technically don't have yet). But I'm so excited to get the Adobe Suite installed and be able to really work on my computer.

Oh, for a second I saw the white monitor and thought you went mac! I would have been proud (that's my os of choice). You will have to let me know how you like Vista though!
Don't get Josh started on Mac. He's been trying to convert me since the day we met. I think he's excited about Vista though.
Indeed I am. I think it's because it reminds me of Mac OS 10.3
Mac girl here, but I hear great things about Vista. In any case, what I wanted to say is that the new banner looks beautiful!
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who has my tax return spent without having actually seen the money yet.
Oh my I have sparked a Mac/PC debate!

Yeah, the new Vista reminds me of my own mac (I have 10.4, I think). But, you will enjoy your new PC I am sure. It seems neat.

Take care!
When Josh and I first started dating we would go around and around with the Mac/PC debate. Finally we agreed to disagree!

about me

I'm 29 and live in central Illinois. I've been married to an amazing man for four and a half years. We have a little white dog and bought our first house in 2008. We added a new member to our family in October 2008. Jasper is made of marshmallows and awesome. I am lucky enough to stay at home with him. He makes us laugh everyday. I also have my own photography business called Knight Light. We also do what we can to be a little more eco-friendly.
