about me

I'm 28 and live in central Illinois. I've been married to an amazing man for three years. We have a little white dog and just bought our first house! We added a new member to our family in October. Jasper is simply made of awesome and makes us laugh everyday. I LOVE design and photography. I'm busy getting my own business up and going. We also do what we can to be a little more eco-friendly.

A few months ago I met with an area photographer. We really just wanted to meet and see if maybe in the future we could work together. (He knows that I don't have much flexibility until Josh finds a full time job.) I wasn't really sure what would come of the meeting but I didn't think I'd know for quite awhile. Turns out I found out a lot sooner...

A couple of weeks ago I got an email from him... He wanted to hire me to shoot a wedding for him. He had two brides interested in the same day. So we met with one of the brides, I showed her my work and she chose us! I will be shooting my third wedding of 2007 on May 26th. Knight Light is working for this photographer so it's not really under my name but I will get a copy of all the pictures to use in my portfolio.

It's really exciting to see that meeting with one person can get somewhere!

Wow that is so cool. Dang i should make my appt now for July-so i need denver's pictures taken in July so mark me down for sometime. It is so cool to have such a cool friend like you!!!!

That's awesome. That reminds me- I've been meaning to e-mail you about an idea I had...I'll try tomorrow. Too late tonight to form logical thought...

That's one of the things I love about the photography business -- we all seem to scratch each other's backs. I guess except in high-profile markets like Vegas and NY. One of my photographer friends came from Vegas and said it's totally cutthroat out there. Which makes me glad I'm here.
