about me

I'm 28 and live in central Illinois. I've been married to an amazing man for three years. We have a little white dog and just bought our first house! We are also expecting our first child in October. I LOVE design and photography. I'm busy getting my own business up and going. We also do what we can to be a little more eco-friendly.

mode of transportation

The past few days I have been riding my bike to and from work (except today, it's raining). It saves on gas and it's a little bit of exercise. I can't help but feel like a little kid when I'm riding my bike. Going down a hill right before my apartment I feel myself revert to age 10. I want to lean my head back and enjoy the breeze. And just like when I was that age, I want to take my hands off the handlebar but don't because I'm too chicken. Or maybe I'm just afraid of what my mom would say...

A couple years ago I bought this bike on a garage sale for ten dollars...a girl's Huffy that was decked out in purple and black speckles. Last summer Josh did a custom paint job on it and now I love it. I think I should name it but can't think of anything fitting.

I've definitely been enjoying this beautiful weather that is perfect for bike riding. I can't help but think that I probably look like a goon or a drunk that lost her license. I don't care though, I just smile, wave to people and hum "Bicycle Race" by Queen to myself.

holy cow kimberly!!! i could have written this post. I too have been riding my bike to work lately, and wonder if people think I've got 6 DUIs or something. . . AND I also get the Queen song about bicycles stuck in my head. too funny. ;)
I used to ride my bike to work every single day (until I wrecked it) and I loved it. It's great exercise, it's a lot cheaper than gas, and it gives you as a motorist a new respect for bicyclists. Glad that you love your bike so much!
